Change of power supply for PS4
You may need to exchange (replace) the power supply on your PlayStation 4 if you notice any of the following signs:
- Console Does Not Power On: When you press the power button, the PS4 shows no lights, no fan noise, and no response at all, even though the power cable and outlet are confirmed working.
- Power Light Flashes Then Turns Off: The console’s power light flashes briefly (often white) and then the system shuts down immediately, which can indicate power supply failure or related power circuit issues.
- No Reaction When Plugged In: Plugging the PS4 into a known working outlet with a tested power cable results in no reaction from the console.
- Intermittent Power Issues: The PS4 powers on inconsistently or shuts down unexpectedly during use, which can be caused by a failing power supply.
- Burning Smell or Physical Damage: Any smell of burning or visible damage near the power supply area inside the console suggests a faulty PSU that needs replacement.
- No Safe Mode Access: The console cannot enter Safe Mode or respond to button presses, possibly due to power supply faults.
